Building an Account Schema You Can Maintain

A short method for naming account tiers so reports stay comparable month to month.

A durable schema lists inclusion rules: org IDs, seat bands, plan types, and exclusions such as internal or partner accounts. Vague labels like “strategic” invite debate the first time a campaign uses them.

Write each tier as if another analyst must rebuild it without you. Name the fields, lookbacks, and edge cases.

Attach one primary metric each tier is meant to move. That pairing turns account analytics into decisions instead of decoration.
